About GRE Subject Tests
The GRE® Subject Tests are achievement tests that measure your knowledge of a particular field of study.
Show what you know about a specific subject and graduate schools will take notice. The Subject Tests can help you stand out from other applicants by emphasizing your knowledge and skill level in a specific area.
Each Subject Test is intended for students who have an undergraduate major or extensive background in one of these six disciplines:

Registration, Test Centers and Dates
The GRE® Subject Tests are offered at paper-delivered test centers worldwide up to three times a year. You can register for a Subject Test online.

Registration Checklist
Before you begin the registration process, it’s important to review fees, make sure you pick the right test date and understand the policies and procedures. See the Registration Checklist.

Your ETS Account
In order to register for the test, view your scores, and access other services, you’ll need an ETS account. Prior to creating your account, be sure to review important information about The Name You Use When Registering, including what to do if you have a name change.

ID Requirements
You are responsible for bringing valid and acceptable identification on test day, and it must bear the same name you used when you created your account and registered for your test. See ID Requirements.
